My recount

Have you ever had to make one choice so you could make someone happy? Well I did and it was extremely hard I just couldn’t make up my mind. It happened at home.Also This happened two weeks ago. 

Exactly two weeks ago on a Sunday I had to make a big decision. I had to choose if I wanted to help my nana clean up or go with my uncle and his friends to the pools. I just felt so guilty because if I choose one of them the other will get angry at me. 

My nana tried to convince me by letting me go on the laptop because she nevers gives it to me. When she gave it to me it was a little bit creepy because her eyes were big. I did go on it but still it was creepy. 

Next came my uncle and his friends. It turned out that they were spying on what my nana did and he asked me the weirdest question ever. He said to me that if I wanted anything because watching tv was getting boring.He then pulled my hand and it felt like he was trying to pull my arm off. We went to the shop and bought some things.

It was Tuesday and I still hadn’t made up my decision and my nana and uncle got weirder as the days past. I felt so selfish because my uncle and nana were pretty much treating me like I was a princess, which I don’t like. 

It came to the point that I knew I had to to do. The next day I was laying in my room and I finally had some peace and quiet. I could hear the birds chirping and the wind just flowing through my ear, until guess who burst through the door my nana and I wasn’t expecting my uncle and his friends to be there as well. Now it was a disaster.

I thought up a plan to see if they were going to make up because on this point it was going harder and harder. I would usually go to my big sister Inga but she was gone somewhere. 

I had finally done it. I thought that if we sat in to each other for dinner than it would be okay. Then 2 minutes before dinner I called my nana and uncle to come and sit next to me. They both said yes. 

We ate dinner and for it, it was my mama's famous spaghetti and meatballs with a twist. Every time this happened, my mum would always say to the family that the only way we could eat was to do a dance. 

After dinner I talked by myself to my nana and uncle and said I had enough of them fighting over me. I fact I shouted and my whole family heard. 

The entire next day I didn’t talk to any of them. When it came to the end of the day I made my decision. I called both of them and it was unbelievable my uncle said that I was going to pick him to go with and once again I shouted. 

I told them I made up my mind and with a softer voice I said I choose both of yous. Now here’s why. I would help nana first and then after I would go with my uncle. 

In the end I was so happy that we sorted the problem. I even told my family that I would never choose one for the other. It happened and it was probably the best time ever. I hope I can do this more often.

During the holiday, I went to the warm beach with my friends. We saw in the distance that there was a volleyball net. We always loved to play volleyball in the holidays, but there was one problem we had no volleyball.

So one of my friends asked a kind family if we could borrow their volleyball. He said that they were the happiest family and they said yes. We all hugged each other in excitement.

When we played volleyball I hit it with all my power and it was really hard and smooth. I bent my fingers and then I fell to the ground screaming because it really hurt.

We played volleyball for about an hour because it was so fun, beside me getting hurt. After a bunch of exhausting games of extreme volleyball we had lunch .

Lunch tasted delicious. In fact we had 3 pizzas, sushi, homemade sandwiches and clean water. When the water dripped into my mouth I glowed up in coolness because I hadn’t had water this whole entire day. After lunch we went to have a refreshing swim in the calm and lapping waves. I could even hear the waves from here and it felt like I was on a cruise going to a tropical place.

I jumped into the air diving in the sea and I tasted the salty sea water. My friends all burst into laughter. I didn’t laugh because it was like my taste buds were gone.

When I was swimming I could hear the loud seagull’s talking to each other like humans. It was pretty annoying .

Before we went home, we gave the volleyball back to the kind family. The little girl from the family spoke up and said that we could use it anytime we want. Me and my friends had a blast at the beach. I would say it was the best holidays of my life.

We packed up and went off seeing what was ahead of us next.

Most dangerous writing challenge

Before 

so I was five when this happened. it was my first time gettinf a school photo and I was exiceted. The first thing I did was to take the class pet which was a parrot named jack. I took him back to school and sat down waiting for our teacher to say that it was picture day. She walked and and said ' are you guys ready to get your photot's' that is what she said and our whole class screamed 'yes!' Now  it was really exiceting because we were the first class to go and do our photos. I was the first person and my picture looked great. Until the next person came and it was sandrea she was mean to everyone. Miss forgot to lock the cage and jack came out and sat on the top of Sandreas head. Which made her photo terrible. She was so angry that jack ruined her photo she cried the whole entire day and it was funny.

      Description 

This is my dangerous writing . This time we were writing about a girl getting her picture ruined. There are lots of mistakes. The reason why was because we only had five minutes.It was a speed writing task.I wish that I could type faster but I am happy about my progress. By the this didn't actually happen and Sandra is a made up name I though of.   My challenge for you guys is to try it out and see if you beat me.                                  After                                                               

 Hi, I was five when this happened and here's what caused the problem. It was my first time getting a school photo and I was extremely excited. The first thing I did was to take the class pet which was a parrot named Jackson but Jack for short. I took him back to school and put  him in the cage which was steal. I sat down waiting for our teacher to say that it was picture day. She walked and then she  said ' are you guys ready to get your photo's?', When she was half way there the whole class screamed 'yes!' 

Now it was really exciting because we were the first class to go and do our photos. I was the first person and my picture looked great. Until the next person came and it was Sandra,she was mean to everyone. 

Miss had forgotten to lock the cage and and you'll never guess what happened?Jack came out and sat on the top of Sandra head. Which made her photo terrible. She even and a little stain on her hair for weeks (2 weeks). She was so angry at Jack that she never ever wanted Jack in her house to look after again. That is my story. Did you like it?

Cross Country recount

Have you ever run 1.5km (kilometers) in a day? I have and it was exhausting, but good because I was getting fit. I only did this for our cross country which was yesterday. If you don’t know or have cross country at your school, then keep reading as I will tell you. Cross country is an event that some schools have like us Pt England have. Cross country isn’t just for us,but it is for our whole school (not including teachers). Cross country for us usually happens in our school grounds and the reserve. Keep reading for more.

Yes,it was our cross country but it was not normal like our usual cross country. Why I probably hear you ask. Well we had another school join us and it was Stanhope. The reason why they joined us was because we were meant to have cross country last week but that didn’t happen due to the weather. So they got to bring their top fast students from year 5-8 to run with us. We also had some KPMG people come and help.

Waiting for my turn I was just wondering what could happen if I lost. It didn’t really matter because my family also said to me “ just try your best and forget the rest”. Just hearing those clappers made me feel like I was the one that was going to run, but it wasn’t our time. Just within half way when the year 4 girls were running it was our turn.

Mrs Clark came and got us. We went on a line and Mr Somervillle explained “ here is what is going to happen, when I say on your marks and get set you will stand straight, then when I clap the clappers you run”. When I heard those clappers I just ran like I really needed some food. My technique was to run then stop for 10 seconds then run. I did that . I ran and saw some KPMG people and they were supporting us runners. I was so exhausted from running that I felt like I really needed water. It was funny because I ran past Madi and Aniqua and Madi was acting like she was a dog. That helped me a bit. I got so angry when I saw Mr Wright because he was eating a pie he even asked me if I wanted one and that pushed the limits for me. I ran so fast that I couldn’t even catch my breath back. Soon I could taste the water in my mouth and run so fast that I made it to the finish. I was so proud of myself because I did my best. I was so happy to get the water and drank it all as soon as I got it.

I think that my goal for next years cross country is to just jog so I can keep energy. I also want to run with someone that is my speed. I don’t know what I placed but I am proud. I hope that you enjoyed my writing.

Hi this is my animation. It is about our topic for this term which is something in the water.

My creature that I choose from the rocky shore was a crayfish because they are cool and sharp

Crayfish live in the sub-tidal zone. If you don’t know what that is that is part of the ocean that always stays under the ocean. Crayfish love to live in between rocks. It is probably there favourite hiding place.

Here are some facts about crayfish. Well some people know or don’t know that lobsters and crayfish are cousins. I don’t know how but they are.

You will notice that when you find some crayfish they are grey. But when you cook them they turn red.

You can also find crayfish in rivers and lakes.

I recommend that you never touch a crayfish by the tail because it can take your fingers away and you will bleed.

This could be weird but crayfish can eat hot dogs and cat food.

You can find crayfish in 4 different colours. Brown, blue,pink and a sandy yellow.

My food chain. This is my food chain. The first thing in the food chain is the sun. The sun is the energy source of the food chain. The next one is the sea grass. The sea grass is a producer.

The sea grass then gets eaten by the plankton. The plankton is a primary consumer which means it eats out producer.

Our next one is the mussel it is another primary consumer. Which means it is a herbivore.

Now the crab is next. The crab is a secondary consumer which means it eats the 1st consumer.

Now the crayfish is a consumer because it eats the secondary consumer.

This is the end the apex. We are the apex predator because we can not be eaten. There are many more Apex. So we are at the very top of the food chain.

I bit more facts female crayfish can lay up to 500 eggs or more.

Captain mice your misson today is to retive a peice of chesse. Yes I know that it is just a chesse , but no this chesse is the most wanted chesse that the mice acadameny has been looking for,m for over one decade. This chesse is located in a girls house named Sally. She is asleep right now. I will send you the coo din rates in 5 minutes. Okay chief now don't dissapoint me. My food chain narrative

This story will be about a food web. Exactly what is a food web? Well a food web is a source of animals that gets energy from a different animal. For me I will be doing a short food web. In that food web there will be Seagulls, Crab , Mussels , Zooplankton and Phytoplankton. I’ll explain what they are. I hope you learn something.

What they are:

Let’s start with our producer the phytoplankton.A producer such as a phytoplankton gets its energy from the sun and water. You may think, how is that possible? Well without the sun and water the phytoplankton will be gone by now. Which means that animals that feed on the phytoplankton will have to search for another food (sea animal or plant).

Now for our consumer which is our zooplankton. You are probably wondering what is a consumer? Well it is an animal that feeds on our producer. Yes our phytoplankton. It will make no sense that the zooplankton eats the phytoplankton because there the same species, but yes! So that means the energy that the phytoplankton has, travels to the zooplanktons body which gives the zooplankton energy.
On to our mussel. Can you guess what our mussel is?Well if you said consumer then you got half. Here is the second part. It is a primary consumer. A primary consumer is a consumer that eats plants. Do you know the other word for that? A herbivore.A herbivore is an animal that eats plants.So it make sense because the zooplankton feeds on the phytoplankton which eats the sea grass. So that means that the energy from the zooplankton travels into the mussels. Now here is how the mussel eats the zooplankton. It can’t open its shell but it can stuck up the zooplankton then eat it.It just eats micro animals.

You think that it ends there but it doesn't’. The next animal is a crab. A crab is a consumer as well. Which means it will eat the mussel. That means the energy that the mussel gets will travel to the crab.

Now for our seagull.Yes this is the last animal. Can you guess what our seagull is? Well It is an Apex Predator. If you don't know what at Apex Predator is it on the top of the food chain. What I mean by that is that the Apex Predator is basically the animal that you can't eat. Like us no one can eat humans because we are at the top of the food chain. We basically eat everything well not exactly. Anyway getting back onto our theme the seagull gets its energy from the crab. You're probably wondering how it happens? Well what happens is that the seagull waits until it comes out. Then it dives in and gets it.So that means the energy from the crab travels to the seagull.

Now that you know what a food chain is, and what are their names. Let’s get into the story.

Once there was are phytoplankton called plankton. He lived with his family in the rocky shore. In his family there was his brother,sister,mum and dad. He was the youngest one in the family. His family would also hide from the crabs.

There was one time when phyto went out and a crab almost chased him for dinner. Now these days phyto has to go with his brother. He is also embarrassed because the kids his age also laugh and say “ I can’t believe he still holds his brothers hands, I mean this is ridiculous”.

Now that he is twelve he can finally go out and get some food for his family. He went out the next and before he could even get the food the crabs were surrounding him.

He was in deep deep trouble. Until a group of zooplanktons came to his aid. You think that is ridiculous because the zooplankton eat phytoplankton, but this time there were kind. There was a zooplankton called zoo they tried to scare away. After 10 minutes phyto family started to worry.

There were more and more crabs coming until seagulls came and grabbed the crabs and took them to a special place. There was even a seagull name Scuttle who yelled out “ thanks for getting our dinner little phytoplankton”.

Phyto went back home and gave his family food. The seagulls on the other hand gobble up the crabs. The end.

My family and I were just having a pool party, until a red car rushed in the pool. We were all confused because this car had just came out of nowhere. My family went to check if anyone was there but no one was there. After a couple of minutes a man and lady were running from the direction the car was at. I went up to them and asked " are you two the owner of the red car?" Soon they said yes! My uncle walked up and said " Where were you guys when this hapened?" The replied" we were o doing our washing and when we came back our car was gone". My uncle said hold on, did any of you guys put the break on?" No the man said. " So that is why" I said. "you also should put it on back". Okay, thank you" said the man.

Introduction

→ So this is my information report 2. It is about my rocky shore creatures. My creatures was a crayfish. Here you will learn the scientific name, Maori name and some facts. I hope you learn something. By the way, I couldn’t decide what the Maori name was.

Habitat

→Crayfish have really sharp tails. If you were to go to one and touch it, your finger could possibly get cut. I would call it the wack tail because it wacks it tail. Crayfish use their tails in case a predator comes by.

→ I think that the special features is the head and eyes. The head has a very sharp snout. The eyes are very keen. Their body is thin but they are tough.

Do you always think that you know octopuses well? I thought I did, until we did this activity. Did you know that an octopus is a escaper? Well you would think no, but after you read this you will know it. Octopuses are great escapers, but how. Well you may think that an octopus can not fit through little cracks and holes. Well your wrong. They can fit anywhere. At the top that is the scientific name and the Maori name.

What you will see is what an octopus eats. Where it lives. Its movement and special features.

Habitat

→ A octopus likes to live in cold water.It loves the temperature of the water to be at least 60 degrees F or less. It lives near the pacific ocean. The octopuses live near Japan because there water is cold.

Diet

→ Octopuses eat crayfish,small fish,sea slug, sea snail, shrimp, shellfish and crab. The octopuses find there food in between rocks. I think the reason why is because it can come up from the water and chase its animal.

Behavior/ movement

→ Octopuses have different movements. When it turns red that means it is angry. When a predator is approaching then it blends in with the closest thing to it.For example, if a rock was by it would change color and match like it. What they also do is that they squirt out ink with someone is coming close.

→ These are a octopuses special features. They have 9 brains, 3 hearts and suction cups. These are important to the octopus. The suction cups things help him to stuck had rock things the rocks. They probably have 9 brains to think better.

Dangerous writing challenge

The circle of life is fulled with lots of different animals. Such as this kitten that is just stuck on a rock with no one to help her. Walking by is an elephant. The elephant see that the kitten is stuck on the rock. So he goes to her aid. The elephant stops and thanks for a minute. Just to see how he is going to help this poor kitten in need. Soon he noticed that he could use his truck to get out of there. He tries and tries but he truck is to short. The kitten is so scared because she doesn't know if her new friend will help her. Meanwhile the elephant is looking for a strong branch to help the kitten. He then finds the branch and  grow it over to the kitten. The elephant soon gets the  the kitten to climb over to him. Now the kitten is so thankful of this animal for saving his life.  This is the circle of life.


How much can you write in five minutes.? Well this is how much I did in five minutes. If your wondering what we were writing about it was a picture of an elephant giving a hand to a kitten. I think I did good, but I wish I could write a bit more.  What I like about this site is that if you stop writing then the screen will disappear. That is the trick. Going rock climbing for Koni's birthday

Have you ever gone rock climbing before? Well if you have great. After reading this you will want to go.

Yesterday it was my cousins birthday. His name is Koni and was turning five. When we got there it was big. After getting off we went inside. It looked so cool. It was like a giant arcade.Anyways, we went upstairs and that was where everyone was. Later uncle Nella said " all the kids that want to climb come with me".I wanted to so I did.

We had to get a wristband so we could climb. After that we had to wait in a to put on our climbing gear. The gear was a harnes. It was a bit hard to put it on.  You had to wear it like pants and they would tighten it. When you were done you would have to wait. The the man teached us how to climb and clip it on. The first thing he told us was how to clip  it on. So you turn and pull back. You have to do both of them. After we got to go. I was so exicted.

After all the climbing it was over . I hope I can do this again

Picking up my sister and uncle

At Thursday elevn o'clock pm me, Inga and my grandpa went on an adventure. Can you guess where? we were going to the airport to pick up our sister and uncle. I was so exicted because we haven't seen them in a month.They were at Tonga. So we went. Funny storie when we got to the van Inga pointed out that our cat was in  there. My grandpa opened the door and our cat came out. Anyway we got in and went off. It was a bit long to get there. After half an hour (30 minutes) we were finally there. When we got there I was confused because when we always go to the airport we always get a ticket. We wonder aroundand there was a sign that said carpark c is closed. So we went around to the exit and I was right. It had turn out that we took a wrong turn. We got a ticket and parked. As time was getting closer I felt like the butterflies were getting bigger. Walking up the escalater I was really shakkey. When we got to the tippy top. We walked east and looked at the big screen. It said lolotonga hifo which means getting off in Tongan. I walked to the front row think I would see them first. Suddenly my sister and unclealready came out. My grandpa saw them first. We got out and she started to speak Tongan. I laugh and said " it is good to have you back sis". After we went home and it was 12:30 am.
