Getting saved by Jack

 Elizabeth manages to get out the word “I can’t breathe” just before she falls

from a great height. She falls right over the edge and narrowly misses the rocks

at the bottom of the cliff. She begins to sink further and further under the water.

Everyone was worried, but no one knew what to do. So instead of calling for Norrington

to come they called Will Turner. Once Will got there she was sinking to the very bottom. 

Next thing you know Will jumps off the cliff and he barely survives because he had

almost hit the stone. Although he couldn’t see properly he tried his best. Elizabeth

was running out of oxygen. She could see Will and she was trying to get to him, but

then she passed out. Will was also running out of breath so he went back to the top

to get some more air to go again. Will tried again and again, but everytime he failed

Elizabeth was close to dying. 

There was no one else but to call the expert,Jack Sparrow. Everyone was looking

everywhere for Jack, but there was nowhere to be found. Until Will yelled and

Jack heard it. Everyone was nervous because they almost thought Elizabeth was

already dead. Jack was swimming and swimming. He just got her dress and brought

her up to shore. He was pushing down on her chest just seeing it was horrible. He

tried it about 1000 times but it didn’t work. Then she woke up and thanked the person

who saved her.

Getting stuck in the forbidden city

This is a narrative about me and my friend Kiarah getting stuck in the forbidden city. I hope you enjoy this story. 

I have just arrived in Beijing China with my friend Kiarah. Me and Kiarah were lucky because we entered a competition and if you won you get two weeks in China! Anyway we were getting off. Oh did I forget to tell you guys that it was night time. Anyway we hopped into the cab and went to our hotel. I was excited because in the morning we were going to the Forbidden city. I just couldn’t wait so instead of sleeping away and dreaming how it would be like I just decided to get ready because you never know when you’ll need to wake up early and shower and all that stuff. As I was about to sleep my timer went off. Well I guess I took all my time getting ready. I didn’t get any sleep. So I woke up Kiarah and told her we had to go now.

I knew we were way too early because it was only seven o’clock even though the forbidden city opened at eight thirty and closed at five. As we were waiting in the car I took a one hour and thirty minute sleep, or nap. When I woke up the forbidden city was open. As me and Kiarah were walking in everyone was walking out. At first I just thought they didn’t like it so I just went on in. KIarah said that we should go back because everyone else was but I didn’t want to listen as being the person I am, but don’t tell her that.

I was running around the forbidden city until Kiaraj showed me the news. Yes you read this right we watched the Chinese news. To be honest it was good. Enough though I didn’t understand it Kiarah did. Then there was one story that I knew straight away what they were talking about. They said that there will be no visitors in the forbidden city and they will shut the gates so no one could go in or out of the place. I thought they were joking until I heard something shut very loud. It turned out to be the gate. Kiarah also told me that they will open it back up in two days. Two days! I mean I love this place, but I wouldn’t sleep here for two days.

I was really freaking out. I mean there was no escape. I didn’t even pack for back up food. Yeah the only day I need it I leave it at the hotel. Although me and Kiarah were stuck in the forbidden city without anyone knowing it brought the worst out of us. We were yelling and screaming. All I ever wanted was to see the forbidden city and then go straight back to the hotel, but look at where it got us to. I knew I should have listened to Kiarah. I said sorry to her because she was right.

I knew I had to get the both of us out. So I went to the gates. Man I’m tall I couldn’t jump over it. Kiarah tried as well but it wasn’t going well at all. I tried everything to get that gate open. I even ran into it. That was probably my worst idea out of the 78 things I tried. I was pouring and I Kiarah said that it was fine and that we were going to be okay and safe. I got up and said to her “ I was the one who got us into the mess and now I will take us out”. I tried running through a few times, but still didn’t work. Then suddenly I had just noticed that there is a space between each bar so if me and Kiarah could fit through them we could get out. It was our last shot. We slid through perfectly. We ran to the car and drove back to the hotel. That was such a crazy day in China.

Fight a cobra

This is my writing about me fighting a cobra. Yes this is not true. Anyway I hope you enjoy this writing of mine.

There I was standing in the middle of the Colosseum. Rushing through my head was all of the great times I had. I was nervous because possibly in seconds I could end my life right here right now. I just couldn’t stop thinking about the animal or human I was versus. Honestly my nightmare was going to come true in like 45 seconds. I looked up at the top of the Colosseum and saw the traps. The traps were used to protect the people watching from the rain and the bright yellow sun. Anyway without counting I knew nearly the whole city was here. Over 50,000 people could be in the Colosseum. Before it could start I reminded myself that there are cage’s right underneath the sand I was battling on.

Suddenly my challenger came out. It was an animal, but not any type of animal it was the cobra. Ahhh! Why a cobra. A cobra was my biggest nightmare of all. In fact in my nightmares I was battling a cobra. Let’s just say that the cobra looked very hungry. Usually cobras would stay in the same place, but this one kept on moving closer and closer every step I made the cobra came closer. It was at the point where I could risk it or not. I knew the right thing to do was to fight. Let me tell you it wasn't easy. I have to say that even though I almost got bitten I remembered that I had a fight not long ago and I almost broke that person’s arm. That when I turned into beast mode.

I was charging towards the cobra and before I knew it I had won.It turns out that when I jumped my sword went through the cobras body. Some body parts were still moving so I chopped it. Ever since that day I became a legend and I even had my own story. I never knew I had it in my but I did. Remember people never give up and also push yourself to the limit!

WHAT! The Mona Lisa is stolen!

There I was just standing in the middle of the Louvre Museum when I heard the alarm ring. At first I thought it was just a test because they had installed some new alarms. I guess I was wrong. All at once I saw 10 security guards running past. What was crazy was that I didn’t even see who they were chasing. Suddenly a person ran past with the Mona Lisa. I tried to stop him or her, but he or her was a bit faster than me. Luckily I got a glimpse of that thief. Although something looked similar about that person. Their ruby red eye’s reminded me of someone, but I couldn’t remember who.

Next thing I know cops and even detectives were here. I mean I was in France. There were lot’s of criminal investigators. People from NCIS, CIA and even Chicago P.D. I mean it was an honour meeting them, but still there was a person to catch. The first detective to question me was detective Dotts. I know that names sound weird but it was cool at the same time. He asked me what had happened. I told him that I heard the alarm ringing. Then I told him that he or she was running away with the painting of the Mona Lisa. Next thing I told him was that I tried to catch the person but they were a bit faster than me. As he was walking away I quickly told him that I got a glimpse of the person.

When I got to the hotel I was staying in I called each and every single person in my family to ask them if someone in our family had ruby red eye’s. They all said no, but my cousin Vanessa said that she once saw a new girl at her school who had ruby red eye’s who loved art. Bingo. That was it. I quickly ran to tell detective Dotts about who it was. They found the address and went to get her. I kindly ask to see if I could come. He said yes! We arrived there and she was caught in the act. It had turned out that she had broken out of prison to get her hands on the Mona Lisa. Now she is held in custody. Every since then I got a job as a detective and let me tell you it is the best thing in my whole life. This happened all thanks to my now favourite cousin Vanessa.

This is my task for writing. The task was that I had to pretend that I witness a crime when the Mona Lisa was stolen. In other words I was a eye witness because I saw everything. This is fake, but I hope you enjoy this piece of writing.

My adventures to Italy

Hello and a huge welcome back to all of you explorers. It’s me explorer Angelica. Now it has been two whole weeks since I have talked to you guys. I know I did not see you soon. Anyway I will be talking to you guys about one of my adventures during the holidays. Today I will be telling you about the amazing adventures that I did in drum roll please…….. Italy. Well isn’t that wonderful. Anyway let’s get right into it.

Now Italy is in the continent of Europe. Italy was formed up into a country in 1861. Wow! That was a long time ago. Anyway Italy’s king was Victor Emmanuel II. It doesn’t really say who found it but at least we know who the king was. The currency they use in Italy is Euro. That said like the beginning of Europe. By the way currency means the type of money they use. Let’s get on to the food.

Italy has many foods like Focaccia Bread,Pasta Carbonara and Mushroom Risotto. The most popular foods and drinks to eat and drink in Italy are of course pizza, lasagna and coffee.You may know or not know that pizza started up in Italy. Actually there is a baker named Raffaele Esposito from Naples who has given lots of credit for making the first pizza pie. Pizza pie it sounds like it started off as a pie anyway. He topped the pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and basil. That pizza is still known as Pizza Margherita today in Italy. You may be shocked but lasagna didn’t come from Italy. It was actually made from Ancient Greece a long time ago. Now this is my experience with Italy.

I only had 44 hours to spend time in Italy because I needed to go to my next one. The first place I stopped at was the hotel. It was fantastic. Anyway I went to a restaurant where I heard they had great pizza and coffee. As I took a little glimpse of the restaurant it looked very pretty and fancy. As I sat down on the chair they gave me the menu which was super fancy. I ordered the best thing on the menu. Obviously I chose the pizza. They brought the pizza out and oh my it presented great. My first taste of it was like 34 different pizzas in one big one. After that I took a detour of the city. Luckily I was in the capital of Italy. Which is Rome. After 42 hours of fun I had to go to my next adventure!

Exploring the manatee

Hello and welcome back. If you don’t know I am Angelica the explorer. I explore the world. Yesterday we swam with the green sea turtles. Today we are not swimming, but we are going to see an amazing and interesting creature. The manatee. Now a manatee is a blue planet animal just like the green sea turtle. So without further ado let's go!

Now I am here to where most manatees can be found. A manatee is an interesting creature because it’s relatives are an elephant and a hyrax. It's just crazy. A manatee is a herbivore. If you don’t know what that is I will tell you. A herbivore is an animal that loves to eat things like sea grass and plants. One of it’s favourite foods is algae. One example of a herbivore is a giraffe.Anyway back to the manatee.

A manatee’s environment is a shallow place. It loves to swim in shallow water. You could find it in rivers,lakes and even oceans and seas. The reason why it loves to swim around there is because of the sea grass. I think another reason why is because it is easy to come up and take a breath of water.  Actually it is like they drift with the water. So it doesn’t really use it’s flippers. Another thing about the manatee is that the skin kind of hangs which cause's the manatee to not really chew probably.

Swimming with a green turtle

Ah yes welcome back. It;s me explorer Angelica. Now the last time you heard from me it was when I was time travelling. Now this week I will be talking about and doing some fun stuff when animals. Today’s animal is the green sea turtle. In fact I will be swimming with it. So without further ado introduce the green sea turtle.

Now the green sea turtle is a very important animal. Why? I may hear you say. Well it is important because right now it is endangered. If you don’t know what that means, it means that animal will probably be extinct soon. In other words they are not that much of that animal. Anyway onto swimming.

Swimming with turtles has been on my bucket list for a pretty long time now. Now swimming with the green sea turtles means I have to be very careful and quiet. Sorry let’s get on to swimming now.

Here I am swimming with the green sea turtle. It’s flippers moving forward then back. I looked at the green sea turtle and it’s eyes were very cool and nice. Swimming with the green sea turtle feels like I am in a dream. They are calm and very quiet.

Letter to my family

Dear Family,

I miss you guys so much. I never knew being a soldier could be that hard. I miss eating with you guys because I know mum does the best cooking. I hope Inga,Marcus and Ariyana are being good. Anyway I have a couple of questions like what do you guys eat? Are you guys listening to mum? I hope so.

So where I am writing this letter I am in Germany. I mean it isn’t that bad because I get to hang out with my new friends I made. I sleep in the trench. A trench is probably the safest place during a war. It is very loud sometimes because of the gunshots happening,

I haven’t been given the exact time when I am coming home, but my boss said probably mid September. I just wanna say if I don’t make it just remember that I love you guys with all my heart because you guys are my all time favourite people in the whole entire world.

This is my letter I would send to my family if I were in the war. I hope you enjoy it.

The part he women did during world war one

A lot of people don’t really know things that the women did during world war one. So today I will be telling you guys what most of the women did. Before I get started I just want to explain a bit of world war one. World war one happened in 1914 which meant a lot of mens had to leave their families. Which only meant that the only people at home were the children and the wifes. Okay now let's get started.

Back when the war started a lot of women took very hard jobs that only men could do. They did lots of jobs. Actually sometimes when there weren’t that many women some of them had to do 2 or even 3 jobs at a time. There were lot’s of jobs that the women did when the men were gone. The jobs they did were nurses, doctors, ambulance drivers, translators and, in rare cases, on the battlefield. Some women even travelled to go and help the men in the war.

Women wore lacy shirtwaists and long, narrow skirts that fell to the top of the foot. They would also wear different clothes. Actually they would even wear some trousers and overalls. That is crazy right? Can you believe that? I mean there were many other clothes that they could wear. What was hard was that they had a lot of dresses so that could have been hard to work in. Am I right?

It was very sad for the women because they couldn’t afford to get lots of food. Most women and their families could only afford one meal a day. That meal was tea, butter and bread. It's that just sad? I mean some women didn't even eat because they wanted their children to eat more than them. So that they could survive. Anyway that is all from me and I hope you learned something. Bye!

1914 to 2020

1914 was pretty long ago. Right now 2020 we have things that they didn’t back in 1914, but what were they? Today I am going to be writing the difference between 1914 to 2020. First up is how they lived.

Back in 1914 most of the people lived in cottages. A cottage is a different word for house, but a cottage was way smaller than a house. One thing is that if you didn’t have a cottage to live in you didn’t go to a hotel. You would have to live on the streets or someone else’s cottage.

These day’s us people live in big or small houses. What is even better is that if we don’t have people to sleep we could go to a hotel. Having lots of family can help as well because you could sleep with them.

Next up is a normal day at home. In 1914 most of the people would just sit in their house’s either drawing or playing outside. They didn’t have video games or even TV’s. All they had was a book and pencils.

Us though we are very very lucky. We have video games, TV and even phones,laptops and Ipads. We also don’t really go outside that much because these days we think it is boring.

Next is there entertainment. In 1914 I think that they did not have that much entertainment. For example their entertainment was probably drawing. I can’t say too much myself, but I Think that is right.

Now in 2020 we have a lot of entertainment. For example our digital devices entertain us. Other things are that we can even call people to come and entertain us.

Last thing is their toys. Back then they had a lot of toys that we don;t have now. Things like buzzy bees, dinosaur eggs and many more. By the way if you go into a store and ask for those things I don't they will know. So don’t do it.

These days we have way more toys than them. We have things like a Barbie doll, toy cars and even sport equipment. I say we are very lucky to be living in this year.

ICEBERG!

We were so close to hitting the iceberg. I started to get scared. Until I remembered that even if this is happening to me and the crew I can keep everyone home.There were 15 lifeboats which could fit five in each one. That was enough to get everyone off board.




Every single time we were getting closer I became worried because I needed to get everyone out. By that time we were up to our last one. Which included me and my friends. We had an extra person. That is when I told my friends to leave without me. I know how to swim so yeah you get the point.




There I was a few meters away from the iceberg. I said goodbye to the ship. Off I go swimming in the freezing cold water. I guess that day was the day I knew that I was a hero.
