What exactly have I been up too in the holidays? Well not the much, but still some things happened. Since everyone in Auckland is still in Lockdown level 3, there wasn't that much to do. Besides just staying home with the people in your bubble. Anyways I still did some little travelling and had some little adventures.
During the fist week of the holidays, nothing much happened. My siblings and little cousin would just ride there scooters and bike down our driveway. Not just that, but also take some walks around our block. We would even sometimes go and walk to our grandparents house, consider it was only 4 minutes away. By the way only 4 people live there.
However, it was different on the second week. For some reason it felt different. I don't know why or how. Anyways before I get carried away, the second week was fun. On Thursday night my uncle picked me up to go to his place. I wasn't sure why, but you'll find out soon.Well he picked me up because it was my cousin birthday. She was turning 5 and they were going to have a little party. That night everyone was stressed. We were blowing up lots of balloons, spraying painting chairs, getting decorations done,flipping the table around and putting some lollies and chocolate in the jars. There were just too much things to do in ONE NIGHT. Thankful we got finish. Oh and did I mention we finished at 2 in the MORNING.
On the day of her birthday me and my other cousin Sekope, went outside to see a bouncy castle. This was at 9 in the morning. We jumped in it for quite sometime and then had breakfast. It was the time where she arrived and we all said happy birthday to her. We had some pretty fun activities. Such as red light green light,musical chairs,the pinata and even had a water fight. Overall it was an awesome birthday and I loved the food included as well.
I also got to play Kubb. Kubb is a really fun game, but it is tough. I'll explain that in another blog post, or else the one might be long. So that what I have been up to on the holidays.
Today is the first day of TERM 4! It is sad that it has to start off in lock down, but here is my first maths task. Having our first maths meet was fun. Anyway today we learned about 2 way probability. Here is my maths task. I hope that you enjoy and learn. Also remember to STAY SAFE!
This is my task 3 for Tuvalu Language week! This task was that I had to pick from either a Persuasive,Explanation,Narrative or Recount about Tuvalu. I choose a Explanation writing because I think that I have grown some interest to this writing topic.Anyways I hope that you learn something about the culture and more importantly STAY SAFE!
Did you know that Tuvalu is the least visited country ever? Well If not then you have just learned a new fact. Or even a new country. This week is Tuvalu Language Week! So I am here to explain the country Tuvalu, Their culture/tradition, the country flag and I couldn't resist doing the food there that happens on their land.
As I mentioned before Tuvalu is the world least visited country. It is a small country in Oceania. It has 9 island which include Funafuti,Vaitupu,Nukulaelae,Niutao,Nanumea,Naumanga, Nukufetau and Niulakita. Funafuti is the capital of this country. It is midway between Australia and Hawaii. It is said that the first settlers were from Samoa and probably arrived in the 14th century. Then further later in the 16th century, they discovered the islands. It is also apparently one of the safest places in the world. The currency they use is the Tuvaluan dollar and Australian dollar.
Up next is their Culture and Traditions. Tuvalu's culture is a HUGE part of their life! Considering that Tuvalu has mostly Polynesian people, a lot of their culture or tradition are the same as yours possibly. The women that live there don't wear normal clothes like us. They have a traditional dress, which is made up of hand-dyed pandanus leaf strips. What they use to decorate it is traditional patterns and colours. When feasts are happening, they usually do some traditional dances and music. All of this is held in a Maneapa's. Which is also known as a meeting house. Each Maneapa is unique, another big thing is that Christianity has a strong influence on the islands. Like some pacific countries, Sundays are a day of rest and church attendance. People who are visitors are asked to be discreet in their choice of activities. The female visitors are also asked to dress modestly in towns and villages. Their national celebration is Independence Day, which is on 1 October starting in 1978.
Another huge part of Tuvalu is of course the flag. Tuvalu's flag is quite similar to some other flags. What makes it similar is that it has the Union Jack. The Union Jack is a symbol of the link between Britain and other Commonwealth members. There are approximately 54 members of the commonwealth. Also on the flag is 9 stars. Those 9 stars represent the 9 islands that combined the country itself.
Last but not least their FOOD! There is one national food that the people in Tuvalu eat. That is Pulaka. Pulaka is swamp taro. Now I know it sounds weird, but hear me out. It is Taro, just that has a bigger leaf and larger coarser roots. Some other foods include Cooked Banana or normal, Breadfruit and Coconut. They also eat fish, which did I mention they get from THEIR LAGOON! Just to name one seafood they eat is Coconut Crabs. Let's not forget PORK!
So there you have it. I have explained 4 main and big things about Tuvalu. What are your thoughts on it? Overall Tuvalu is a great place whether you're going there to see their lovely culture and tradition. Or even just their delicious food. I mean just by writing this, I hope that I can visit Tuvalu in the nearby future. Anyway, I hope that you learned something about Tuvalu and HAPPY TUVALU LANGUAGE WEEK!

As we all know, deodorant is one of life's most important things. It helps us smell nice under our armpits even if we sweat. Even though deodorant is a world wide thing.There is one particular place where they sell and promote the best deodorant. That place is New York City. As you may have heard on the news Obama is releasing his own DEODORANT! Since Obama is releasing his own deodorant New York City should be the only place to sell and promote it. Yes, I know this sounds bizarre, but I came up with 3 reasons and maybe by the end of you reading this you will agree.
One big reason is because The Big Apple (NYC) has many ways to promote and sell it. Everyone knows that New York has 2 big TV stations. Which are WNBC and WNET. Not only that but New York has many resources in the marketing business as well. New York also has crazy but awesome ways on how to promote it. One time New York made headlines for promoting a small business in the air. They had a big mobile in the air like they do in the movies. They also have some unique ways to sell them. They would deliver things from drones. One time they just made purses in the rain in New York. Even though New York is in the US. You can ship it to where you live. Not only that, but there are some other options as well. One of them being a hot air balloon, but if we don’t let New York do it then it would just be plain. Which leads me up to the next reason.
If we allow other countries to promote and sell Obamas new deodorant, then we’d be in trouble. You see other places such as the UK,Australia and New Zealand decrease the price of things. In those sorts of countries they judge the product on how it looks and would add some more expensive things to bring the original price up. One of the reasons they put it higher is when things sell out they can use that money to purchase more than regulars would. They would also use some of the extra money towards other things. Now this may sound strange and it is, but if we let other countries sell and promote it they would make it look as if Obama wanted people to not use it. You see, some countries don't like Obama, but would only want to sell his product because some people in their country love him.Also they would only promote it because it's deodorant, not because it's Obama’s. So you see if we allow other countries to promote and sell it, the deodorant and Obama would be in Jeopardy.
Finally my last reason. Scientists have proven that New York has 43.856% more construction workers than any other country does. As we all know construction work causes a bunch of sweat, especially under the pits. If they allow just New York to sell and promote it, then construction workers can have an unlimited amount of the deodorant. Not just that, but there have been some articles saying that New York might just be the most if not the only place that has a stench. Now I know this may seem harsh, but if Obama can promote and sell his deodorant there, it would help many people's lives there to smell fantastic.
So in conclusion New York should be the only place to sell and promote Obama’s upcoming DEODORANT. If they are the only place to sell and promote, then next time you go to NYC just see if it smells good. I really hope that this moved you and now you agree. If you don't, that's totally fine.

A Blobfish living at Mission Bay sounds normal right? Well a Blobfish living in a washing machine sounds better. Even though Blobfish are sea animals/creatures and are meant to live in sea waters, washing machines might just be better.Yes, I know this sounds weird, but here are 3 main reasons why Blobfish should be allowed to live in washing machines rather than Mission Bay.
Studies show that washing machines are better homes to Blobfish than Mission Bay, or just any sea/ocean. Sounds strange,but here's why. Now picture this, a Blobfish has to exercise everyday to keep its shape. When it's in Mission Bay, it has to crawl around and it gets interrupted by kids at Mission Bay. Now here's where the washing machine plays in. If a Blobfish lives in a washing machine, it can just be turned on and all it does is nothing. How? Well it's because the washing machine is rotating and the Blobfish goes on with it as well.
While Blobfish living at Mission Bay have to literally work to survive everyday,Blobfish living in washing machines just sit back and chillax. I mean you can’t be interrupted while you're doing things in a washing machine. Things such as sleeping and eating. See, now when you're at Mission Bay other animals are trying to steal your food, but when you're in a washing machine you have everything to yourself. The same goes for sleeping. When your sleeping at Mission Bay you're awakened by loud noises, but in a washing machine you can sleep for as long as you want.
Lastly, how long Blobfish would be around if they live in washing machines.Scientist believe that if all Blobfish live in washing machines, then there is a 97.9356% chance that we would still have Blobfish until the end of eternity. Well that is if we allow them to live in washing machines. If we continue to just leave them out in Mission Bay, then we could just say bye bye to Blobfish. Considering that there are only 420 Blobfish left in our world. By letting them live in washing machines we are increasing our chances of having more of them.
So to sum up everything that has been stated. Blobfish should live in washing machines. I mean, there are even scientists agreeing with this idea. So we need to act faster than we ever have before and let Blobfish be around forever. One washing machine equals a whole family of Blobfish to be alive. What do you think now? probably thinking that if we do watch the Olympics, it would be as if we are wasting this time on nothing,
but here's the catch.

This is my writing task for this week. I had wrote a information report. The information report was about Egypt. In this information report I have wrote about three subjects about it. The first one is the pyramids. The second one is about the pharaohs/rulers. Last one is about the other things they made. Have you ever been to Egypt? Have you seen pyramids? Would you go to Egypt? Anyway I hope you enjoy this information report and that you guys can learn something.
Did you know that the pyramids are home richest and most powerful civilization? They also get visited by millions of people. In this information report I will be explaining things about Egypt. I will be explaining the pyramids, the pharaohs/rulers and the other things they have built through the years.
First up the pyramids. The great pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders. It is also the only one that is still standing to this day. Another thing about the great pyramid of Giza is that it is the largest pyramid and it is also the tallest man made thing. Even though there is the great pyramid of Giza there are also some other pyramids as well. Well more than 100. Nowadays they are either small or very damaged. If you ever wondered how long it takes to make it then here is your answer. It is said to be 10 to 20 years. I mean makes sense because you have to have 2.3 million stones that weigh 25 to 80 metric tons. That’s only one stone.
Now onto pharaohs/rulers. Menes was one of Egypt's pharaohs. Well actually he was the first. There was also a pharaoh named Khufu. Khufu was an egyptian monarch. Who was the second pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty. Anyway Khufu actually got 2 temples to honor him. He also wanted to have a small temple for each of his wifes. By the way there were 3. Khufu's son and grandson built their own things as well. Did you know that they used to bury their pharaohs in the sand? Yes that is right. They would also bury their pharaohs with things that they valued. Those things sometimes included rings,coins and even jewelry.
Lastly we come up with other things they built. Something that is famous till this day is the great sphinx. If you haven’t seen a sphinx it is a statue the Egyptians made. It is the head of a man and the body of a lion. It is approximately 73 meters tall. Which doesn’t seem tall at first glance. Another thing is flat tombs or mustba. It all started 4000 half thousand years ago. They are pyramids, but they are flat instead of going up to the top. They also built a pyramid of mastaba. Which is now called a step pyramid.
That brings us to the end of the information report. To sum up everything that has been stated in the writing Egypt is full of cool things. From the rulers to the pyramids to even the great sphinx. Egypt has a history of many things. That is why to this day people go and come to see Egypt and learns it history.
This is my reading task for the week. It is about the Jacket. In this slide it has some question about the story. By the way this is a chapter book. I will be doing a lot of presentation about this book. The reason being is because there are 7 chapters. Anyway I hope that you guys enjoy this. Stay tune fore part 2 soon!
