Reflection of Term 1!

Hi guys, so today is sadly the last day of term 1. Now term 1 has been a roller coaster. I mean we have had 2 mini lock downs. Although having 2 mini lock downs that didn't stop us from learning. We also got our free lunches and a visit from the Prime minister herself. Another thing was picnic. To be honest I don't really want school to end. Also I can't believe that I have been a year 7 for a whole term. 

In this term we also got to do a lot of sports. Those sports were Cricket,Softball,Tag and a bit on Kio rahi. There were also other things like the tryathlon Doing tag for the first time was actually really fun. Another sport I loved was Softball. Not only did we win, but we even got to verse my friend Jezer's brother team. His team was Glenbrae and they were pretty good.

We also had tech. Tech was another thing that was new. We got to go to Tamaki College on Thursdays for tech.  For this term I did cooking. My teacher was Mrs Hamer. Today we made meat pizzas. They were delicious. Some of the other foods we did was pikelets, bento bowl and fruit cups. I was even kind enough to give some of my friends some. 

Another thing was extension. If you don't know my extension group has been working with Toby and Bhav. We also got to go on a cool trip to the city. The reason why was because we were gonna go and see the people who help out our sailing team. Which is called Team Emirates New Zealand. We got to do it with spark and genesis. 

I just can't believe this term has came to a end. I can't wait to come back to school next term. Hopefully term 2 can be just as great as this term.

Final step of the design progress-Streets project!

 Today was the last day of extension for the term. It was also the last day planning for our project. If you may not know we have been working with Toby and Bhav. They have been helping us with our project. My project along with Israel and Petero. We started off as a word find, but it is now called tree word jumble. The Miro board help me and my group alot. By next term we get to see what it looks like in action. I can not wait until I get to try out my game. At the bottom were some pictures of our few steps of our project. Hopefully you guys can go and try it!

Lost city under the ocean

 This is my narrative. We had to write a narrative based on a photo. The photo was about a cave, but I turned it into a lost city. I hope you enjoy it. 

A diver had just gone into the ocean. Not knowing much about that ocean. He would usually dive 500 feet into the ocean, but he decided to try and beat it. He wanted to go 700 feet. Just the past 2 week he had learnt how to switch tanks underwater. Now this may seem impossible, but he did it. As he was diving in he was holding two tanks with a clipper thing. When he got up to 700 feet he discovered a cave. He didn’t know that there was a cave under the sea. As he went closer he started to discover that there were some rocks that looked like buildings. Walking through the cave he started noticing that the cave was actually a lost city.

Shocked by what he just saw he quickly swimmed up to the surface. He was blapping random words and his assistant finally got him to calm down. Once the diver calmed down he said that he had found a lost city underwater. At first his assistant didn’t believe him, but when she saw him shaking she knew he wasn’t lying. The diver was so excited he knew he had just made history. Without thinking he went back under and his assistant was yelling out for him to come back up. The reason being was because he didn’t have enough oxygen and his tank was only ⅓ from almost being gone.

The diver was just 100 feet from the lost city. As soon as he got there his oxygen went out. Normally it would only take 10-20minutes for him to be under water. The assistant knew something was wrong. Without hesitation his assistant quickly jumped in the water two tanks on her back. Diving in she found him and quickly attached the other oxygen tank she had. As she looked up she noticed he wasn’t lying. As he was slowly waking up they went up and dialed the police. 

The police arrived and started to investigate. There weren’t enough tanks for them so they only went under and took photos of it.  After further investigation they found out that the cave was actually a lost city. Although they didn’t find out which city it was, the lost city became one of the worlds most visited places in the world.

Ikale tahi bird!

 

Today me and my class had to choose a pattern that represents you and your culture. This is the Ikale Tahi bird. I represents a flying eagle. It also is to look like it is bold and confident. That is to make it look and seem like Tonga. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Streets project!

 

Hi guys, so this has been a project since the beginning of extension. It was a project with Toby and his co worker Bhav. We had to come up with ideas so that we can make walking to school better. My group is working on word find. I am working with Israel and Petero. The pictures you see on the top is the places we could put the letters on. Some my word find is kind of interesting because you actually have to find the letters first. After you find the letters you have to try and put them together to make the word. There is also a little bit of clues. The clues are to help you figure out what the word could be. This is the presentation of our project. Hopefully we can install this game soon, so that you guys can try it out!

EASTER!

         Happy Easter everyone! As you should know today is Easter. Every year for Easter me and my siblings get these Easter boxes. Last year it was my mum and this year it was my uncle and aunt who did it. I was so excited when I saw the box. As you can see in the pictures the first one is me holding my box. My second photo is the things that were in it. The things i got in there was a box of pineapple lumps with a big egg. I also got a egg that was made out of milky bar. Another thing was a ferrero eggs bag. I also got a big of kitkat flavour eggs. My last four thing were colour pens and a book, followed by a  DIY Easter bunny crown kit. My final one was these little Easter eggs. Anyway's I hope you guys have a great Easter brake.
