Can you trust your friend?

You'll never believe what I ate today.I tasted a dry cockroach. Hey have ou ever tasted one before.in your life before?Well not exactly, but you’ll find out. Tasting it was a weird experience. I just couldn’t believe I ate one. On Monday room 10 did a trusting challenge to see if our friends were nice or not. We did this on our class mat. I was with Shayna for the challenge.

Before we did the challenge Miss West came and asked us what type of countries have different foods. We talked about food from the Islands, Japan and the Philippines. Miss West told us that the Japan eat dogs and that's the same as to Tonga.Carl said that the Philippines eat cats! Eww. Then Kiarah said that Tonga eat fish raw.

After Miss West said If anyone is allergic to nuts. That was a usual question to asked.

Now for the Challenge.


After Miss West explained how we were going to do this. The first thing we had to do was to get into pairs.I was with Shayna.The next step was to see who would be blindfolded and how will feed . I was the blinfdfolded one and Shayna was feeding me. Then Miss West showed the people feeding to see what they would want.For some reason I wanted a dry cockroach but I thought Shayna would give me a toffee. I just didn’t know what.

We started and Miss West went along giving the opinions out. I was so scared that I screamed.Soon Shayna gave it to me and It smelt like a raisin,that was out in the sun for a year.I asked her a question like what are you giving me? Shayna quickly gave me the food so I didn’t know. Then I took think bites and it was dry cockroach it didn’t really taste like it.

Now time to feed Shayna

I passed my jumper to Shayna to blindfold her. I felt Generous to give her a toffee because she always play with me so I gave her a toffee. She thought I would give her a cockroach but no. I gave it to her and she hugged me.

I felt like I just ate a cockroach until Miss West said that we didn’t eat a cockroach we just ate some dates and this whole thing was a trick.

I felt scared but happy because we I got to try a date for the first time. I hope we can do this in the future. This was fun.Hope you enjoy doing this at home.

Animation I like your latitude

Hi, this is my animation for this term it was about how to get from the front of the school to different places. Well everyone had to have the front of the school. Anyway my pictures were the front of the school ,the internal passageway and room 9 & 10. I really enjoyed doing this because I got to draw lots of different people. This was fun and I hope you enjoy my movie.

Witting

You will start from the bottom field. You will notice because you are standing of the muddy grass and there are parks right in front of you. Now you take thirty steps north until you reach the park. You will need to watch out for stuff because there is a bike track with poles sticking out and there is a ramp.Well you would need to go over the ramp and straight. Once you have reached the park you will notice you are standing on the spiky bark and the park will be black,white and grey. You are at the seniors park. Now it could be hard or easy because now you have to go through the park.You could go , up, down, left and right. After you have gone through the park you need to turn 90 degrees onto the footpath. Take three diagonal step then turn 90 degrees and walk straight. You will need to walk past rooms 18.17,16,15,14 and 13 to reach the deck. As you are walking there will be little sharp things on the ground and taps (for drinking water).You will need to walk up the stairs then turn 90 degrees. You will notice because room 11 is there. Now walk forward and you can choose either to go down the ramp or down the stairs It doesn’t matter. Just walk to the hard court,then walk past rooms 3,4 and 5 and there you are at the double doors of the senior block.

Today we had  our DMIC and we had to try and see what 1350was in fractions. The answer was 3 turns and three quarters. I wish I can do this again. This  is Shaynas groups work.

Book Review 2

This is my second book review. This story is about a boy walking with his when the ocean is a low tide. You will see where it is happening and my thoughts of this book. I hope you can read this book sometime.

40 Hour Famine reflection

On Friday night we had our 40 hour famine. We did this at school . The whole point of this was to raise some money for the people that are living in South Sudan. The things we were fun rising was to make them have house, food, clean water  and education. Some of the people living there have had devastating things happen to  them in their life.

We also had a boy named Cam who came to our school. Cam talked to us about why we are doing this and that we are doing a huge difference. There was one  story that he told us about. He told us that there was a girl. I can't really remember but she had a terrible story. Cam told us that there were soldiers at her school. As soon as she saw them she ran to her house. When she got there her parents and her sister were gone. He also told us that she had to decide if she was going to stay or go. While she was doing that the soldiers were coming closer and closer.So she ran outside. He told us that it had took her four days without any water and food to find a home. After that she had found the place. They welcomed her like family. What was the sad part for me was that she has not seen her parents and sister in two years. Cam also said that he and two other friends actually went there and they learnt new things about
those people.So the last thing he told us was that we can't change the past but we can help them in he future.


This is me doing my blog post about the 40 Hour Famine

Here is the beginning.

I came to school at six o'clock and I saw Julianna and Kristopher setting up there beds. What I brought was two waters and two packets of barleys sugar. I had also bring two juice packets of just juice. After my mum left my friend Suade walked in with his gear for the night. After 20 minutes Mrs Lagitupu said to me, Cherish and Julianna if we want to come to be the first to go and play in the hall for 5 minutes.

Before we carried on Mrs Lagitupu did the roll call. The red team was Bethan, Jazhara and Marika.The blue team was Roman, Suade, Kristopher, Hendrix, Austin, King, Lenix and Lelofi. The green team was all the year six's which were Jane, Oail'ii, Sauma and Eva. Now my group was the yellow team and it was me, Julianna, Aye-myat and Cherish.  The leaders were Bethan, King, Oail'ii and Julianna.

When she opened the door we all just ran for the big yoga balls. While we were playing the rest came and we all had a mega huge dodgeball game. It took us quite a while but we did. When it hit 8 o'clock Mrs Lagitupu told that we had to do our item for the dance show. Hey by the way we had Stevenson, Ha'are and Wylma for our helpers.

We did a game of rock,paper scissors to determine  of who will go last and first. Julianna won so we went last.The boys went first.The red team were scond and the green team were third.


We only had 45 minute to do it. It was a lot of fun doing it. I hope I an d this next year because it is so much fun to do it. I hope that you can do it too because it is really fun.

Animation Voiceover

The way you know that it is it, is that there is the ICT room and a Maker space room. You will also know if there is art on the walls. You will have to reach the red door to go to the hard court.

From the front of the school walk thirty degrees north until you reach the breeze. You will notice because Miss Va’fusuanga’s office is right next to the wooden chair. You will also know because the floor is smooth. Take forty steps forward until you reach the office.You will know because they will be the lovely office ladies doing stuff. There is also a robot and two black chairs. Now turn a quarter turn to your right and you will soon be walking on the internal passageway. You will notice because there will be juniors walking around and there is the ICT room and the creative space room. You need to reach the red door to go the the hardcourt.Once you have reached the red door turn 90 degrees facing the door. Then open it. Take about 15 steps to south east. So you can be on the hard court. The only way you know is that you are standing on concrete and you can see room three straight away. There will also be a big container with drawings on it.

From the front of the school walk thirty degrees north until you reach the breeze. You will notice because Miss Va’fusuanga’s office is right next to the wooden chair. You will also know because the floor is smooth. Take forty steps forward until you reach the office.You will know because they will be the lovely office ladies doing stuff. There is also a robot and two black chairs. Now turn a quarter turn to your right and you will soon be walking on the internal passageway. You will notice because there will be juniors walking around and there is the ICT room and the creative space room. You need to reach the red door to go the the hardcourt.Now this is the easy part now. You have to turn 90 degrees south.As you turn there will be room 9 & 10. Then talk 26 steps so you can go into room 9 & 10. You will notice that your init when there are kids, Miss West and Mrs Sio.

DMIC blogpost week 5 problem two

Today we were in out DMIC groups our question was that Roman got a smart scooter and he turn 2070 degrees. The only thing we had to do was figrue out what it was in fractions.
