Life in a trench

A soldier running through trenches for his life. Lucky he survives. A life in a trench is not easy to keep it calm. Today I will be telling you about a life in a trench. Before I get started I just want to explain what a trench is. A trench is a smelly yucky and very disgusting place. It is where mos of the soldiers slept after the war. A trench was disgusting because it had very smelly things. Things like rats, dead bodies and even mud. Ewwwww! Can you believe they lived there?

As you may or may not know a trench is where a lot of soldiers fought and slept in. There would be some people who didn’t have a place to sleep so they slept outside. Can you believe that? It could also be freezing sleeping out in the opening because you didn't really have a blanket to use.

Anyway they could probably hear all the gunshots coming from their enemies. That could have been very very very very scary. They would also have to eat meat and vegetables.Well actually that was what they had to eat. Another thing that they could was food packages. Yes they were allowed to bring food packages to the trench. Let me tell you it probably smelled yuck.

Their clothes could get very wet because the trench would have been muddy and wet. I would say that keeping you clothes wet was very important because you were going to fight them. There were lots of hard things that had to be keep clean because they were either important or special to them. I mean could you even keep stuff clean in the trench?

Last thing that could have been the hardest bit is that most of them would write letters to their family. To be honest that could have been hard because they were in war. It must of been really hard for them to write there letters because what if they don't make it. Anyway that is it from me. I hope you learned something. Bye!

This is my writing piece about being in a trench and how it would of felt. I hope you enjoy it and learn somethings because writing this took a lot of research.
