Valerie Adams

So for the past three weeks we learned about the amazing shot putter Valerie Adams.We had to deiced how tall, wide and big it was going to be. We deiced to build a statue of her. First we had to plan what she was going to be made out of. We also had to make a choice of painting or colouring paper.So we all deiced to use cardboard and paper and we also wanted to paint. At first we thought it was going to be easy,but then it wasn't. It took a while until we fingered. Then we knew how to do the shoes. It took time to  stick the leg on. We had no idea how to stick it, then we used tape. We used lots of tape and paper. Then we made the body. It was difficult to find the perfect shape for the body. Later we found it. We taped it and there we had it the body. Now it was time for the arms. It was really hard to shape the arms. It took two days to shape the arms. Then it was time to make the head. At first it we thought it was going to be easy.Then it was hard to shape it with paper. We couldn't do the head so we just moved on to sticking it on. When it came to sticking it, it kept falling over. It was annoying because we had to stick it on one hundred times. We tried for day put she just didn't want to stand. Then we just had to hot glue gun it on. The only thing we could stick was the two feet and legs on. One week after we came back and our work was destroyed. Then we had to start over again. Our hard work was ruined. Every single time we tried to stick the body on to the leg it just wouldn't stick on.  So we just painted the body parts first. The thing we painted first was the box and the shoes and legs. We made a giant mess. There was a little problem we had no black to colour her so we used all of the colour. After a week we finally finished painting. Now it was time to stick it back on. We also made the head out of newspaper. The difficult part was sticking because the same problem was happening again. We tried for a long time then we just stack up and lift it there. Then we asked Miss King helped and she said we should go on an adventurer and get some supplies to fix her. Our little adventurer was to Mr Vogt so we could get some bamboo sticks hold her up. At first we only needed two to hold the legs to the body. It was extremely hard because we had to cut to holes and put down the bamboo sticks. We let it go and there was a problem we had to lay her down and get two more bamboo stick to put it though the box to the leg to hold it still. It was hard to cut the holes because the scissors  were hopeless and didn't even work so we just deal with it we got bigger scissor and it chopped  bigger holes into it. It was our  finally chance to make her stand. We slowly stacked it together.We let it go and it stand we were so happy after a billion surgery's she stands.

I think Valerie Adams is awesome because even though her mother past away she never gave up and always carried her mother in her heart. 

The reason why we learned about her because she is one of those lady's  that is amazing and cool and even awesome.
